2024 Good Guys Summit Racing Nationals in Columbus, Ohio.

HOT weather, Awesome cars and great people highlight the show!

“The Big One” for Good Guys was a spectacular weekend! Weather was sunny and in the 90s all weekend long! I know there was a lot of speculation (we all seen the video) of how the show was going to be with the construction going on at the fairgrounds. Well, it was not much of an issue. Sure, show car parking was a little different and some areas were blocked off or you had to take a different way to get to some areas but all in all, I thought they did a great job handling everything and made the show as good as it could be, which was GREAT! I have seen things like this before at other shows and it always turns out in a positive way. Besides, they are doing things to make future shows even better for you and me!

The cars that come out to this show always raise the bar and set new standards and this year was no different! One of the strongest showings and number of cars competing for Street Machine of the Year in a while and was great to see! Would not have wanted to be the ones picking the Top 5 and eventual winner! Yes, there were 3 Mustangs in the Top 5 and some may not like that but you have to remember, it’s just someone’s opinion on who wins or is considered a Top 5 car. I know there’s politics involved even though there shouldn’t be and that’s the price that’s paid to play. Not saying I agree with it or condone it, it’s just the way it is.

Something new this year, Street Machine of the Year competitors DID NOT have to run the autocross. They just made a cruise lap around the fairgrounds. They have a new class that competes in the autocross instead.

Really like the fact that they are doing the “Pro Street Rollout” featuring the Pro Street cars! We cannot forget about the cars from the past as well as the awesome Pro Street cars being built yet today!

As always the number and diversity of cars was out of this World! If you were looking for your favorite car at the show, you probably found it there!

I think Good Guys put on a GREAT show even though there was construction on the grounds. They made the best of the situation and continued making this show one of the BEST in the country!
